If you see an unknown charge from Audible, it’s most often a temporary authorization charge on your account, a monthly membership charge, or applicable sales tax.

What’s this charge from Audible?

The charge you see on your statement is from Audible, an Amazon company. Audible is a membership-based digital books entertainment service that sells audiobooks, original audio shows, and more.

The charges could be:

• A membership charge. Membership charges begin following expiration of the relevant trial period.
• A one-time audiobook purchase.
• A $1.00 temporary authorization charge.

You can view your charge from your Purchase History page on the Audible site.

If your charge doesn’t reflect any of these, please contact us with the 9-digit alphanumeric code available on your statement. Please get in touch with the Audible marketplace that best matches the charge you see:
 

If you didn't mean to sign up for an Audible membership, you can cancel online anytime.
If you signed up via Google Play Store app you have to cancel your subscription via Google Play Store.
If you signed up via App Store app you have to cancel your subscription via App Store.

Note: Deleting the Audible app will not cancel a membership.

Why am I being charged GST? 

Audible is obliged, in accordance with applicable law, to charge GST (Goods and Services Tax) on sales of digital products and services to customers in Australia. As a result, customers located in Australia are charged GST on all purchases of digital audiobooks and memberships. GST is calculated based on the location of the customer and will be charged in accordance with the local legislation of the applicable country.
