If you get credits with your monthly plan, you can pause your membership once every 12 months, for a period of up to 90 days. It’s a great way to take a break from payments without canceling. At the end of this period, your plan will auto-renew until canceled.

Notes: Annual memberships and Audible Standard membership are not eligible for pause.

Can I put my membership on pause?

To pause your membership, complete the following steps:
 

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Select your username from the site’s top navigation.
3. Select Account details from the drop-down menu.
4. Select the Pause membership link.
5. Select Pause membership to confirm.

Notes:

• Memberships billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store aren’t eligible for pause. You can manage your membership anytime through your Google Play or App Store settings.
• Customers on Annual Plans, rather than monthly, are not able to pause their memberships.

What does it mean to pause my membership? 

When you pause your membership, you’ll pause your monthly payments. Here’s what you can still access during a pause:

• You can continue to use existing credits
• You can still listen to titles you purchased with cash or credit
• You can continue to access sales and enjoy your member discount
• You can still buy credit bundles and participate in 2-for-1 deals
• You won’t receive new credits
• You won’t have access to the Plus Catalog

How often can I pause my Audible membership?

You can pause your monthly membership once every 12 months.

Notes: 

• This 12-month period begins the day your membership resumes. 
• You’re only eligible to pause after 30 days of paid membership.

What happens when my membership resumes?

When your pause period ends, your membership auto-renews for your regular monthly payment until canceled.

To unpause your membership:

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Select your username from the site’s top navigation.
3. Select Account details from the drop-down menu.
4. Select resume membership.

What happens if I cancel while my membership is paused?

If you cancel during the pause period, you won’t be billed and you’ll have access to your member benefits until the end of your current billing period.
